These earrings are part of αία's "Land & Sea" series, featuring designs that celebrate the country's breathtaking landscapes, from mountain to sea. The island of Evia, while considered off the beaten path, offers some of the lushest greens and most striking blues among the Greek islands. The sway of the tassels on these bold pieces is reminiscent of its open hay fields and olive groves moving in the summer breeze, the chirring of crickets, and gentle waves lapping the shore.
These earrings feature 100% high grade rayon and cotton threads across the embroidery and handmade tassels, as well as 14k gold-filled beads and findings. 14K gold-filled is also known as 1/20 14K. 1/20 means that 5% of the total metal in the beads and findings is 14K gold which gives them a look and feel of real gold. Gold-filled items are very durable compared to standard gold plated and with good care will not tarnish for a very long time (or perhaps ever).
The dimensions of the earrings are approximately L12 x W3 cm. Despite their elaborate design and beads, they are lightweight and can be worn for hours without discomfort.
From the intricate, multi-hued embroidery to the hand-finished tassels, each earring demands hours of precise craftsmanship. The result is more than an accessory—it’s art made wearable.

- To ensure long-term quality, avoid getting these earrings wet or allowing too much friction. When travelling with them, it is advisable to pack them separately from other jewelry.
- If the tassels get bent out of place, you can straighten them easily with a steamer or – if you don’t have a steamer – by putting them over your steaming hot coffee / tea.
