Ichnos soap is a brand of vegan and handmade products for face, body and hair .

We are located in Athens, Greece .

Ichnos by definition in Greek means trace .The trace in cold-process soap is the moment when the lye and oils have blended and thickened enough to have formed a stable emulsion .Trace is the point where all the ingredients are no longer at any risk of separation.

Ichnos is the magic moment of join and creation ! 

Our brand supports the idea of Leave No Trace .That means to sustain the environment for the generations to come. We are aware of how we're interacting with the environment and making conscious decisions that help reduce our impact on nature . 

Also, we are a concept of slow movement. Slow movement does not mean doing everything slowly ,but it means that everything is done at the right moment in the production process. In this way the quality remains at the forefront .By supporting slow movement you support the local producers and you build a more personal relationship with the craftsmen.

Our soaps are inspired from the union of ethical and sustainably sourced ingredients found in abundance on Greek and Japanese land .

Ichnos combines scents, local goods and cultures from both countries .

Greece is an “olive tree country” with various kinds of olive oils. When you travel across the country there are areas with olive groves almost everywhere. Remember that our soaps are made in great part with virgin olive oil and that our country is οn top of the olive oil production list .

On the other hand , Japan minimalism is a concept that focuses on keeping life simple & clean by living with just the essentials. Αn idea we embrace from the start .

Actually the shape of our soaps and our eco packaging were inspired from minimalism .

Japan is also a volcanic country with thousands of hot springs . Onsen or hot spring baths are essential parts of the Japanese bathing culture. Literally , Οnsen means ''hot spring” and in fact, these are natural hot water baths rich in beneficial minerals.

This naked social ritual has been more than washing away your sweat and getting clean is associated with cleansing the body , the mind and the soul .

After all the bath is a place and time to wash away the worries and cares of your day . It is a place to relax, rejuvenate and restart . It is a ritual that you spend time with your inner self to purify your body, mind and soul .
