How did we start? Dimitra and Chrysanthi, cousins, friends, maid of honors, raised in the "picturesque" village of Chora in Messinia (okay, maybe not so picturesque). 🏡👭
We grew up learning the art of crochet (the classic hook) from our grandmothers and mothers, and we continue the tradition with love and creativity, with a twist towards new trends. 🧵❤️🌟
The name Sakorafes was born as a joke because Sakorafa is the large, sharp needle, and in our place, it's used teasingly for eccentric personalities (specifically, it goes something like "hey you sakarofa"). 😆🪡
Our motto? 'Crochet, because murder is wrong' & 'You are beautiful as you are'. 🌼✨
