The kinds of faces at a Meet Market has a beautifully wide range.  We invite people of all ages, races, socioeconomic backgrounds, political positions, religious beliefs, sexual preferences, musical tastes and fashion trends.

At each of our events, we have a 5 hard-working people on our core team who help bring the Meet Market to life; about 30 collaborators in terms of djs, activity creators and freelancers; +/- 120 makers participating; and approximately 10,000 visitors attending.

Overall, what all our people have have in common is an appreciation for the alternative and passion for living local.

Τhe Meet Market is a contemporary, nomadic, pop-up market dedicated to celebrating the small-scale businesses of independent designers, artists, artisans, producers, and collectors. In the form of a thoughtfully curated event showcasing Greek brands hosted in various venues and neighborhoods in Athens, the Meet Market has established itself as a much-anticipated meeting point for participants and visitors alike. It’s the perfect space for shoppers to find unique products and support independent local makers & entrepreneurs.

We've coined a little paragraph to describe what we are.  You may have noticed it on our promo material:
#TheMeetMarket | A pop-up celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit… A nomadic marketplace of local goods, fresh ideas, and friendly folk. An audio-visual jigsaw of handmade & independently designed clothes, accessories, art, objects, organic body products, homeware, tasty food, vintage & retro collectibles, records, interactive games, free prizes, DJ sets and good vibes.

Nowadays, the Meet Market events take place about 6 times per year, although in the pre-Covid era we used to do them once a month.  A growing demand for participation combined with our dedication to making each event top notch, has led us "less is more approach" in recent years.

Our most popular Meet Markets are our Easter Edition every April, our Jazz Festival Edition every May, our autumn Edition every October and of course our Christmas Edition every December... but even the less popular months are a celebration!

As much as the Meet Market is dedicated to showcasing and celebrating the talented makers and beautiful products from our local communities, we feel the same way about spaces and places. The Meet Market is nomadic and that allows us to travel around and experience different neighborhoods, venues and businesses in Athens. Each venue provides a unique charm and backdrop to our events, which is always exciting for us.

Over the past 15 years, we have hosted our markets at over 30 venues in Athens, Greece including Technopolis, Amaxostasio, The Athens Conservatoire, Bios, Romantso, six d.o.g.s., Byrsodepsio, The Association of Greek Archeologists, the old K44, the old Guru Bar, Kinono, Pierce College, The Art Foundation (TAF), Axarnon 61, Synch Festival, European Music Day in Kotzia Square, EPASKT, Meli Studios, The Gray Building in Ag. Eirinis Square, Ktima Aristi, Mezzanine, Fokianos Sports Center, Athinais Cultural Center, Blender Gallery, Water Square in Falliro, The Port of Pireas and more...  Also, its worth saying that one time we went North to The Art House Thessaloniki.
