Description
This handmade idiophone is inspired by the Tzamala, a large wooden instrument played by children in the Greek region of Thrace to accompany the holiday carols. The string is used to pull the bottom part of the "jaw" up against the top part, making a crisp clicking sound.
I've used solid beechwood for all the parts and finished the wood so it has a natural velvety touch using only sandpaper and walnut oil. You can decorate yours with paint or magic markers to make it unique.
The label is bilingual English/Greek. All contents and packaging are vegan.
