Wheel-thrown stoneware cup, fired at 1240°C, with a 280 ml capacity. Finished with "Chun Queen" and "Moonlight Black" glazes (Variant 1) or "Chun Queen" and "Almond Milk" glazes (Variant 2).

Chun (or Jun) glaze is an iconic, iridescent glaze originating from ancient China. It is renowned for its milky, soft blue-green hue—reminiscent of the sea just after a rainfall. This unique appearance results from an optical phenomenon known as phase separation, where microscopic droplets or bubbles scatter shades of blue-green.
Each cup is unique. The "Chun Queen" glaze recipe is exclusive, created at the Almas Ceramics Studio.
Details
This cup is made in the potter's wheel, by stoneware clay, glazed and fired at 1240*C. High temperature of stoneware clay serves to extra strength and durability. Its handmade glazing is prepared after different experimentations in the studio.
Handcrafted ceramics may slightly differ in colour, size and shape. Non-toxic and food safe, dishware safe.
Instruction for better use :
- All pots are handmade by stoneware clays, fired at 1240 d. of C, that means that are durable enough to be washed in the washing machine. However, it is recommnended hand washing, as more friendly to non-industry ceramic objects generally.
- Unglazed clay surface is not porous. However, it is recommended not to have constant contact with liquids such as oil or wine, because they can leave a permanent light stain on the surface of the clay.
- It is also suggested that ceramic everyday objects (plates, bowls and cups) are not to be left with substances such as vinegar and lemon for long periods of time because this may lead to color alterations.
- Avoid extreme and sudden temperature changes as it is likely to cause thermal shock to the pieces. Do not put in the oven or in the fire.
Tips
This cup is wheel-thrown from stoneware clay, glazed, and fired at 1240°C. The high firing temperature of stoneware clay ensures superior strength and durability. The glaze is handmade, developed through extensive experimentation in the studio.
All items are carefully packed in cardboard boxes using recyclable materials to ensure they reach you safely and sustainably.

As my production is small-scale, I do not carry large inventories. Orders are typically ready within 3–4 weeks.
