A terra sigillata vase inspired by Japanese prints.

Description
Wheel-thrown ceramic vase, decorated with incised patterns on black terra sigillata and fired at 1020°C.
Dimensions (approximate): Diameter 11 cm, Height 21 cm.
Weight: 770g.
The incised design is inspired by the work of Japanese artist Mori Yuzan and the book *Hamonshu: A Japanese Book of Wave and Ripple Designs* (1903).
This vase is a unique piece.
Details
This vase is made in the potter's wheel, by red clay, glazed and fired at 1020*C. Its handmade glazing is prepared after different experimentations in the studio.
Handcrafted ceramics may slightly differ in colour, size and shape. Non-toxic and food safe, dishware safe.
Instruction for better use :
- Wash by hand.
- Unglazed clay surface is not porous. However, it is recommended not to have constant contact with liquids such as oil or wine, because they can leave a permanent light stain on the surface of the clay.
- It is also suggested that ceramic everyday objects (plates, bowls and cups) are not to be left with substances such as vinegar and lemon for long periods of time because this may lead to color alterations.
- Avoid extreme and sudden temperature changes as it is likely to cause thermal shock to the pieces. Do not put in the oven or in the fire.
Tips
All items are well packed inside a cardboard box, using recycling materials, in order to arrive safely and ecologically to your place.
All shipments are done with Hellenic Post and the national postal operator in your country, in order to guarantee the best price, quality and time.
As I am a small producer I don't have a big stock of items. Orders are usually ready within 3-4 weeks.
