Description
Our Origami Chronicles collection consists of jewelry inspired by the Japanese technique of “Origami”.
As the main element, Japanese bamboo silkscreens and Italian printed bookbinding papers are used for their creation. All other elements such as semi-precious stones, silver and steel are joined to complete each piece. The papers have undergone a protective treatment with ecological paint.
What is Origami…
Origami is called the Japanese art of paper folding. In its modern use, the word “origami” is often used as a term that includes all folding practices, regardless of their culture of origin.
The small number of basic folds can be combined in various ways. In this way, complex designs can be made. The most famous origami model is the Japanese paper crane. Generally, these designs start with a square sheet of paper. The sides can be different colors, prints, or patterns. Traditional Japanese origami, which has been practiced since the Edo period in Japan, was often less strict. Sometimes they would cut the paper or use non-square shapes to start with.

*The pattern papers used are A1 size. Therefore, the origami design used for each ornament may be slightly different compared to the photo shown, depending on where the paper was cut.
